Well, Nancy, you could stay at home and do all those jobs nextt week. After all, Houston comes around every year, right..... (evil grin)! :)

I'm like you, Rosemary. I'd really love to make this quilt (and have the Tri-Recs ruler set that is perfect for the tree blocks), but I need to quilt 2 quilts and make 3 bags for Christmas presents, will be in Houston next week and have a couple more mug rugs to finish up soon. It seems like there's always a pile of stuff I'm behind on! And now I hear that Janet Stone is doing the 2014 BOM. How can I resist that???

I think it must be a three way mirror - same problem going on here, I even have the right sort of ruler thingy to cut the trees out with. Nope, I must be strong - at least until a few other things are crossed off my list (Dress for Izzy, reline DH's jacket, cover for the canoe, webbing straps for barrel for the canoe...... you know all the usual things that pile up  and that is before I get to mug rugs)

Lorchen, if you step back from that mirror, you could use that time to make the quilt

Just think, Lorchen, if you made this quilt, Robin Hood would have a place to stay (in the border...). Wonder if he does single malt? For me, it's a lot of fun to do because it is quick and easy and I'm going to be able to enjoy it this winter. What colors would you make it in?

I'm standing in front of a mirror and keep saying: "Repeat after me, Lorchen: You do NOT have time for another project. You do NOT have time for another project.........."

Then I look at those cute little trees, and.............. go back to the mirror and say........ :)

Thanks everyone. It really is a very fun quilt and I am glad there are some of us doing it. The classroom lessons are great. I am happy to make Alex happy because she spreads happiness wherever she goes! My first quilt book was Start Quilting with Alex Anderson so Alex, you have been inspiring me from the beginning. :D :D
