TOPIC: sewing strips together

Re: sewing strips together 05 Nov 2011 19:31 #70832

Yes I alternate like Lotti - I tried doing strips all the same direction once and it ended up bowing in the middle. Even if you alternate every third strip it will stop the bowing. Good luck :D Rita.

I'll do it like Lotti because that's the way I was taught to do it. I have never really tried both ways and then compared to see if there is a difference.

i find that if i sew them all in one direction, i end up with a lopsided top - i read once to alternate the direction - and this works for me :)

When you are sewing several strips together do you sew them all top to bottom? Or do you reverse them, top to bottom-bottom to top?
