I think instead of taking the 3-d patch to make a goose shape... you take the raw edge and bring it to lower edge so that it forms the blade of a pinwheel...The fold is still free and all the raw edges are incased in the seams.... YOu sew 4 of the blocks together so they spin and form the pinwheel. ...

Hi Margo,
No that isn't the one. All I saw was a picture. It looked like prairie points that were sewn into the seams of a four patch to form a pinwheel. I should just try it, It looks pretty simple. I will look up how to make the prairie points and go from there.

I don't remember a dimensional Pinwheel but here is a link to a video of Ricky's dimensional Flying Geese block that is made with just one seam. Could that be the technique you are thinking about?

Hi, Somewhere in the forum (I think) I saw a fourpatch quilt that had the points sewn into the seams to give it the look of pinwheels.
Anyone know where I an find it?
