Was your fabric pre-washed? Web won't stick to the fabric if the sizing hasn't been washed out. Also starch causes problems. I bought more Pellon fusible and was able to make two more whales pressing with less time and heat. THanks again.. Cheryl
I had that same problem with Heat & Bond, only. I agree with shirmoor that I probably used too much heat. I was able to save the piece by just going back with steam and pulling the paper off while it was still warm. I think I lucked out with that. Right now I'm having a problem with the Heat & Bond not sticking to the fabric for the final applique. Steam-a-seam Lite will definitely be my choice for all future projects.
THankyou Frances, It was quite irritatiing and a waste of fabric and fusible. Now I have to buy more fusible to finish the whales. UGH!!!I'll deffinately watch the heat this time. CHeryl
Hi, Cheryl. I had the same problem once and decided that I used too much heat or for too long when I ironed the fusible to my fabric. Good luck! Frances
Okay I am trying to make multiple orca whale appliques using fusible web. One came out perfect, but the paper backing on the second one wouldn't come loose. Its from the same roll, and fabric was washed. No startch or steam etc. Why would one work and the other not.... Cheryl
