My old standby, a book entitled "How to Clean Everything," by Alma Chesnut Moore, says you can try hydrogen peroxide, if it's non-washable fabric, using full strength, then rinse thoroughly with plain water. You should test for colorfastness first. If it's washable, sponge with cool water, or soak in cool water for 30 minutes or more, even overnight. Then work undiluted liquid detergent into the stain and rinse. If it remains, it requires bleach.
But the first suggestions are worth a try, I would say.
