I had one of those pre-quilted baby quilt panels and thought it would be so easy to sew an eyelet binding on it. I easily figured out how to miter the corners, but unfortunately, it didn't occur to me until too late (after I cut it) that I did not know how to correctly seam the two ends of the eyelet.
By looking at an existing seam in the purchased piece of eyelet, I figured out that I would have to remove a few inches of the eyelet from the binding on both ends to seam it. Then I didn't know how to seam the binding, put the eyelet back into the binding, and stitch onto the quilt. I've unsuccessfully searched the internet and books at the library to learn the proper way to seam eyelet binding. Can anyone point me to a good reference
