I did mine with just outline quilting around the applique and sashings and added beadboard in the borders:

For simple quilting by hand I think that a basic cross hatching would be beautiful!

Getting ready to hand quilt my Love and Kisses quilt....but reluctant to start. There is so much hand work in the blocks I want to continue the hand work into the quilting. An experienced hand quilter I have to no problem with the technique....just stuck on the design work. Any suggestions on resource material or how to start? Should I outline? grid? overall grid? change grid for each block? Any input would be sooo welcome....mostly to get me moving creatively.....
