Depending on where the scallops stop at/near the corner, could you draw a 45 degree angle through the scallop and mirror the design? depending on how many scallops you have down each side, if it is an odd number you could slightly lengthen the middle scallop to make sure that they finish on the line of the previous border.
Have you checked the pictures of last years BOM to see if anyone did their own thing and scalloped around the corner?
Just looking through previous BOM's have you checked out 2010 Hugs and Kisses? learn/all-boms This was appliqued.

Re: An inner scalloped border?

Everyone is always so helpful on here and so I hope someone is able to help me again. I am making a medallion quilt and have started with a mariners compass in the middle with a narrow floater border (thanks Margo!) surrounded by small nine patch blocks. I would like to do another narrow border and then a wider border in the background fabric (6")which has a scalloped striped fabric appliqued to it. I hope this makes sense! My query is, how do I achieve this? I have done scalloped edges on the outside of a quilt, but not inside it. I can't find anything in my books or by searching on google. Thanks in advance!
