The size for Ricky's one seam flying geese is dependant on your square size. The rectangle is always the same width as the square and 1/2 in shorter than the width of the square times two.
So for a three in square, you need a three x five and 1/2 in rectangle.
four in square, a four x seven and !/2 in rectangle. etc.
Using this formula you can make your geese as large or small as you want. I like to do the larger ones if I am going to leave the little pockets open so I can insert little treats or notes into the quilt. (used the flying geese in an advent calendar that came out really cute.)
I can not remember the size of the 3d flying geese unit shown in the first season's show. My GF is on vacation and of course she borrowed my DVDs. I want to make a small wall hanging for a friend who is going through a hard time. Can someone please post the dimensions of the block. I especially need the dimension of the rectangular ( goose) piece.
