Thanks Norma and Dorothy. Excellent help. I have determined that I need to start over after all on the embroidery. The dupioni I used is just a poor quality, and I was not happy with the outcome when I hand washed it. While it can be used for some project, I think not a show quilt. I've got a much higher quality dupioni and also some radiance. I'm considering switching to all radiance for this quilt and use a different stabilizer.

I have used Radiance for raw edge applique (BOM 2008) but the applique was fused on the edges. No problems with that. And because I dyed the fabric first I know you can starch and wash it also.

Anyone else worked with Radiance for applique? Can it be stitched raw edge, or does it have to be turned before stitching? Can you spray starch it ok? I am working on a little quilt, that is a big project and am about to embark on a lot of applique using Radiance. Any advice?
