I like Softfuse also and find it much easier to work with than Mistyfuse.

Yes! Mistyfuse! It doesn't have a paper backing, but parchment paper (find in the grocery store near the freezer paper and aluminum foil) works great for transferring the design!

I would recommend Mistyfuse. You can quilt through it like buttah. 8)

I would like to hand blanket stitch around fused applique pieces. Any pointers on what type of fusible to use? I am trying to save wear and tear on my fingers. Planning on using 3 strands of DMC for the blanket stitch.
