Rosemary, I agree with Nancy because I want to see it. You could do still another one too. Only if you are so inclined or want to take it further.

Since this is an informal challenge, I think you should do whatever fits in with your time and interests. Whether you make something new or not, I think we'll all want to see what you've already made.....

Would it be cheating to put in something I've made previously inspired by Libby?

Nancy, all your Christmas presents were great, you were very busy. The quilting on the white table topper is wonderful. I especially loved your model, you should rent him out.

Rosemary, what a thoughtful gift for your parents the bag filled with goodies was. I loved the table runner and placemats, they would suit any table.

Great snail mug rugs. Mind you I don't think I would want one

Rosemary, your snail muggies are so pretty--love the colors that give roundness to them. Nancy, you really went on a production streak with a wedding in the middle of all that! Wow! Love everything you made (enjoyed seeing some pieces on your blog which is on my FAVORITES!).

Beautiful work Rosemary and Nancy. Rosemary, I love the snails - who ever would have thunk! Nancy that photo of Lance is so funny with his ears bent back, our dog does that when you try to take a photo of her too. Are the scarves made of silk or cotton? They are really neat I would like to make one is there a pattern? The fabrics are gorgeous. So much beautiful creative stuff made for hopefully grateful people this Christmas. Thanks for the photos.

Love the idea of a mini 'inspired by Libby' challenge and March sounds about doable.

I used rayon batik from Sew Batik. They also provide a pattern, but their pattern is for a simple infinity scarf and I wanted to make a mobius scarf so I found this YouTube video that I liked:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euLZPZCahKI

I like her method because she puts the turning hole on the long seam that runs the length of the scarf rather than the short seam that runs around the scarf. I used my sewing machine to sew up the turning hole since I was too lazy to do it by hand and it isn't noticeable at all.

Oops! Posted this without reading all the posts. Sorry for the repetition.

I love all of Nancy's gifts. Lucky family to have her making them presents. Rosemary the snails are wonderful.

Pam, Many of us who contribute to this thread participated in a Chinese Whispher Challenge and entered a series of quilts in the Loch Lomand 2014 Quilt Show. We were a group of 10, all TQS members, who communicated here during the nearly 2 years while we were constructing the challenge quilts. That challenge is over but we continue to communicate and have small challenges that we agree to post here by a certain date. Anyone can join. All you need to do is post that you want to do it and then post the quilt here on the date you agreed to finish it. Hope you join in. In the meantime, we chatter, or natter, or whatever it is they do across the Pond.

Love the snails, too, Rosemary!

Nancy and Rosemary, great gifts! Nancy, re the bag with the big blue flower, did you make the flower pattern up? I can just see a summertime bag like that for my daughter when she heads to the beach with her family in April! Oh, and I'm in for the Libby challenge. :)

The flower purse is from the "Laguna" pattern by A Quilter's Dream. I got it as a kit from Connecting Threads.

Rosemary and Nancy, love your Christmas gifts!

I will think about the Libby challenge and see what I come up with. Libby is so inspirational.

I made a smilebox of my 2014 quilting/sewing accomplishments. I used to post it on my TQS blog. I don't think I can post it in the forum. When they get the blogs back up I'll post it then.

I'm busy quilting a quilt for my daughter's bridal shower gift. I hope to be done soon. It's turning out nice.

Happy New Year everyone!
