Here are the post organization photos of my
son's sewing room. The bed is on risers and a table is on top making a good counter height to iron and cut fabric. Wad of fabric in corner waiting to be ironed and put away. I washed my entire stash and just folded most of it without ironing, but this fabric came out very wrinkled (Kaffe Fasset's shot cotton, very pretty colors).
My son is 6ft. 3in., so he shouldn't have a problem with the bed height when he visits. One of the risers has a built in electrical outlet so I can plug in the iron. There is an extension from the riser to the wall outlet behind the bed. Fabric storage under bed (I pulled it out so you could see some). Sewing machine cabinet has lots of storage and can be closed when not in use.
On the opposite wall is the desk and bookcases. Two shelves remain as reminder of son, the shelf under those have two bins for magazines, books and patterns. Bookcase on the other side has plastic bins for more fabric storage. Couldn't use the closet, because it is stuffed with son's stuff. I imagine when he gets a permanent station, he will take most of it (a lot of camping and backpacking gear). Hung a length of white flannel over closet as a design wall.
