I saw a sign where they assured me they could teach me to tat in 2 minutes. I went in and they did teach me--needle tatting. I love it. Wendy--this is actually crochet with thin crochet threads that has sequins on it. They did hold their blocking because of the stiffener I used.

I am sorry to admit that I forgot. I think it is still part of the "bah humbugs". Anyway, I truly wish I had taken the picture of this when it was still being blocked. Much to my dismay, when the pins were removed it shrunk back to an unusable size.

AND, this is not the one that gave me all the trouble--that one isn't blocked yet. Since the other did not hold it's blocking and they are done with the same kind of thread, I doubt it will hold it's blocking either.

So, the two things I made for this challenge were a disaster but I did this earlier in the year to be used for Christmas presents--will they do?

This reminds me of a true story:

When I was in my tweens, I took an art class:

Class 1 homework: Draw a tree
Class 2 homework: Draw a self-portrait
Class 3 'put them together'
Class 4: result of homework: Everyone drew a tree with a picture of them beside it. Nice. I drew a self portrait with me being the trunk of the tree and the tree growing out of my head, waving my arms/branches. I was so embarrassed to be 'different' . Literally 'put them together'.

But, I guess I'm just different. Oh well. LOL
