I just finished participating in a mug rug exchange thru http://quiltinggallery.com -- Michelle Foster. She references a great tutorial on Mug Rugs and Mug Rug Swapping at http://thepatchsmith.blogspot.co.uk/ written by Amanda

This is one of the more important bits to remember--it has to do with shipping overseas from the U.S. -- not sure about the other way around.
Make note of the type of shipping you choose when sending your parcel. For international shipments, on the Customs form indicate that your parcel
is a GIFT worth NO MORE than $20.00 USD. This is really important, as I've had past swappers get charged HUGE importing fees. Keep your shipping
receipt in a safe place as it may be needed to track your package.
