I've been slowly plugging away at the mug rugs I want to send out but am stacking them up to mail a bunch together... but yesterday I ran into a friend who wanted to bring me mooncakes she had baked for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday (shame on me, my mooncakes were store-bought this year
), so last night I decided to make her a Mid-Autumn mug rug to say thank you for the mooncakes. I put myself in
overdrive, cut and pieced the block last night, FMQ'd it this morning, and by noon, the binding was on, just in time to exchange mooncakes for mug rug! She liked it because it tells the story of this particular holiday, "The Rabbit in the Moon." Frankly, didn't think I could make a mug rug that quickly, but when on a mission, I guess you do what you have to do!
