Lounge Lizards, do you know anybody who is not a star member? I have 2 membership gift certificates (6 months) to give away. Email me through my profile and I'll give you the number.

I still have Lorchen, Norma and Charae on my "to do" list. I have not forgotten. My "I have got to stitch syndrome" sometime pulls me in directions I've not exactly planned. Right now my best quilting buddy and I are up to our necks in creating a project for church to be used this Christmas season. Our sanctuary is newly renovated with a new chancel/communion table. Just a few weeks ago she and I decided it needed something new for Christmas. Well, my Christmas shopping, decorating and all other things that can be pushed aside have been pushed. Our plan was to try to complete the project for this Christmas, knowing that if we didn't start it, it would never get done. ….also knowing at worst it would be done by next Christmas. We have some time. Mary and Joseph did not get to Bethlehem until Christmas Eve. Who said all the decorations have to be done the first day of Advent. Wish us luck. I will post results. Forgive me for putting all of you on hold. Like Wendy after Christmas I will want to add to my Mug Rug exchange list.

For all the lounge lizards: this thread has no closing date, so you might want to join when we mug ruggers are exhausted, if that ever happens  . It sure is so much fun to see all the creativity brought up here. I have those I received hanging on a wall in my sewing room and they are very much admired, when people come visit. My friends love to hear about how we do it and my two sewing friends asked me if I would teach them my special rug, so that's what we will do in a week's time.

I'm with Carole, and also visit this forum every day but haven't participated in the mug rug exchange because of so many other things to finish up first. I have made mug rugs for a couple of close friends though, and they were thrilled. When I need a break from a big project, I pause and make a mug rug which is something I can actually finish in a reasonable length of time :)

I guess I am a lounge lizard too. Have really enjoyed all the pictures of the Mug Rugs. You are a great group of talented quilters. I have too many projects going, and not enough time to do all I want to do.

What interesting looking projects.

I'm not a knitter, but I fell in love with a pattern at the Harrogate Knitting & Stitching show last weekend and had to buy it. It also has cables in it. I am wondering whether to have a try at it myself of just try cadging my Mum into knitting it for me instead
