hello wendy,
feet are perfectly fine (only two tiny blisters that i never really felt - though i did feel the feet 'burning' a while after - not from the heat, but from walking and standing around on the frozen ground before going back to find my shoes)
and i'm still smiling - such a rush
gave me lots of positive energy and a feeling of "i can do anything i set my mind to"
i'm definitely going back and doing it again!

Hello everyone, Hope everyone's Christmas was peaceful and wonderful. I have missed a few weeks and boy there were so many pages to catch up on. All the mug rugs are beautiful. I hope to stay more up to date from now on. Hope everyone has a Happy New Years and a wonderful year to follow!

Oh man, I missed a couple of days and had pages to caught up on. I know I am not going to remember everything I wanted to comment on but I will say--we had squabblers(again two youngest--over where they were going to sit), I told them they were going to sit in the living room by themselves if they didn't stop--they stopped. I will be having most of the family on Saturday--I have had a fullllllllllll week!
This one will make you smile. DD#1 has two more mug rugs she wants to finish before she gives any to her co-workers(yes, she always underestimates the time it will take to be creative) so she came over Thursday evening with her two daughters. Her daughter #2 is the one who did the quilt pillow for 4-H and won the ribbons. So, said daughter is watching her mom do a satin stitch and she says--you did it wrong mom, grandma's going to make you do it over. Needless to say, I thought it was funny--her mom--not so much. Then the grand tried to tell her mom how to correctly thread the machine. Quite comical.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. We are getting together with the family members who could come on Saturday. I still have lots to do. I did threaten to run away today, but can't do that. I think a cruise is in order for next year, or a trip to anywhere else. Too much commotion. And I am ready for some peace on Earth. Does anyone else have family members who squabble? Sorry, but I needed to vent. I will be good and go wrap more presents now. Love to you all.
Why don't you 'cruise' on over to Scotland in May? you could join us CWer's at the Loch Lomond Quilt Show then and really let your hair down

Cathy you are not alone. My youngest two decided to have a squabble about which side of the table they would sit for dinner just as I was about to plate up - my older daughter and I having spent hours in preparation for a delicious meal. But after a little 'discussion' with their father it was sorted out. A cruise sounds like a great idea for next year. Let's all go on a quilting cruise and leave the squabblers behind. Maybe then they will appreciate what they had.

Charae your granddaughter is beautiful, and I agree with Renata it's 'probably, probably. She looks very like her grandmother too. Marilyn, all our children are. And I love the idea of a summer trifle too - love amoretto. Lotti it's good to see you too.
