I'd love to just watch what they do Lois. I stare at mine and can't work out how to take it apart to get any lint out. I could do it on my Bernina.

Enjoy the quilting Rita I'm really looking forward to seeing your efforts and to start creating myself

I agree. I wish could take it apart to clean and oil it. I have done that most of my sewing life. However, if we do that and mess anything up while we have the machine apart it cancels our 25 year warranty. Same is true if you have a non-certified technician service the machine.

Way to go Rita. Happy to hear that Patricia is back on her good behavior. No sooner did you say your machine was skipping stitches than mine followed suite! I was bad. Sewing over pins… I hit one and got the timing out of whack. My dealer and LQS just went out of business but left us with business cards for the technician who serviced our machines. She is a retired Home Ec. teacher and she sews. She agreed to look at my machine the next day. She fixed it on her kitchen counter and I sat by and visited and learned about the machine as she worked. She does recommend that I put a drop of oil on the wick every once in a while. Use a clear oil. If its yellow it has praffin in it and it will make the lint stick to it. I am throwing out those old cans of Singer oil. She also said that it is okay to use canned air on our machines. Some makes of machines have the mechanisms packed so tight that there is no place for dust and lint to go other than to get packed tightly into the mechanics of the machine. There is enough air space inside the shell of the Janomes so that the lint can get blown free. She said don't use it too intensely. Just short spurt. Long intense spraying can cause condensation. If I remember more of what I learned I will post it later.

Hi peeps, just wanted to let you know that Patricia is back to her contented purring self and I have begun to work on CW again. I hope to get the quilting finished by the end of next week, with a little luck and not too many distractions from my teenage children.

Rita, I received one from Rita C yesterday with an attachment but it went into my Spam box. It looked suspicious so I wouldn't have opened it anyway. :( :(

I don't know what pleasure these people get out of doing this unless it is just to show that they can!!!!

That's to bad, Rita. What a pain in the neck! I think it happens all the time. I'll be on the look out for weird mail and I won't open it. I am loving looking at all the winning quilts from Houston. I can't wait to see the BOM. Hope its tomorrow but we might not see it until Friday's newsletter. All I need is another project on the go!

Hey folks, my email account was hacked into today. I have changed the password etc., but in case you get an email from me claiming to have an 'important document' please don't open it and trash it. Honestly, you can't go away for a couple of days.....

Wow, Norma! There is nothing quite so frightening as going through a force of nature. I'm glad all is good with you.
