Actually Wendy, Nessie will be still at home and not visiting her relatives in Loch Lomond in May so you won't see her this trip :( :( :(

Well, now I don't feel quite as bad. It would be awful if I would not only miss the premire appearance of The Whisphers Across the Pond Chinese Whisper Challenge but also a visit by Nessie to her Loch Lomand cousins. You'd think she'd come in honor of the last Loch Lomand Quilt Show. Oh well! Sew bee it!

Rosemary, try this link. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g551931-d2006080-r142144156-Can_You_Experience_Loch_Lomond-Balloch_West_Dunbartonshire_Loch_Lomond_and_The_T.html

Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch is a good place to look for canoeing. This is right on the loch.

I can give you good directions how to get there as it is very easy to get to from your hotel.

So show tickets for Thurs, Fri, Sat; Thurs night buffet & probably Friday's ceilidh. Sounds good to me. 8)

Do you think we might get mugged for some stewarding whilst we are there?

Are you wanting to steward on Friday morning as well or do you want me to send the volunteers letter with times and things on it before you say yes?

Thank you Rosemary for your 100 words.

I've offered to do a half day stewarding.

If I set off at crack of dawn we can get there to see some of the shows on Thursday, then if I steward Friday morning and look at quilts after that then head off for a look at the loch and pretty scenery and be back in the evening to meet the others and do whatever then we have Saturday for rest of the show. Or can do something completely different if you want? It'll be good to see the whisper quilts with the others.

What are you planning Rita and Laura? do you need collecting from the airport. We have wheels, small ones. :D

Does that sound ok :D

It's only me and thee now as Jane has a wedding on the Saturday.

Have you been to Loch Lomond before? I'd like to see a bit of the area one afternoon

I was just hunting for the link to last year's Chinese Whispers to pass on to a friend (outside TQS) but haven't been able to find it, can anyone help?

I did however find out a bit about this years show. Including http://www.lochlomondquiltshow.com/content/eveningevents.html this about the evening events and also tickets http://www.lochlomondquiltshow.com/content/tickets.html it would probably be a good idea to get on and organise these too, before arriving and finding them sold out...

So Wendy, as our beloved tour guide cum chauffer, what, if any, are your plans? What do I need to book? As well as anyone else who is going?

There are also workshops - but nothing is listed as yet :(
