TOPIC: Chinese Whispers

Re: Chinese Whispers 20 Sep 2012 02:43 #88962

My understanding of this is that Maureen was hinting that she might like something along these lines as a thank you for having to deal with all the admin on this challenge? Am I right? :?

Great minds must think alike - I had been wondering about doing a little something along these lines, but running it slightly separately from the official Chinese Whispers, but following the same route, just a different start point, and possibly shorter intervals, thinking that it would make a nice (xmas?) present.

Rosemary, please elaborate :?: :?: :?: :) :)

I am liking these ideas better and better all the time.

Woo hoo! We're in!!

Just because I'm a little slow, is an A4 quilt a little quilt the size of an A4 piece of paper? Kind of like the AAQI quilts? Just want to make sure I play along the right way!! I can just see myself preparing something ahead of time (so as not to interfere with my time on the challenge quilt), and doing it all wrong!!

So exciting. I need to tell you, Maureen, that I now have a bit of your spirit in my sewing room. Rita made an AAQI quilt using one of the reels you made for the exchange and I bought the quilt. It arrived yesterday. It so very lovely. That little quilt has been lots of places I've never been and it so nice to have it here.

That is terrific Lois - from Scotland (to England) to Ireland to America - have block will travel :) :) Rita had that block on the Forum and it was lovely - she is very talented. Could be a little idea that a little A4 quilt goes into the parcel with the quilt that is being posted :?: :?: :?: or not
