  well I've got over a year before it's my turn so you never know. :D

I'm not working on anything today Nancy I don't know if its day or night and after reading some of the threads I'm even more muddled. This week (with fingers crossed behind my back) I shall make my September FMQ challenge, finish my 'tree of life' quilt and get the borders on the Laura Nownes number, watch the next fusing class and catch up on threads.

What's everyone else doing to while away the hours until Maureen gets The photo? :D

I am in a group of six and we are having an Indigo exhibition next June in Glasgow’s West End Festival. I am busy stitching Shibori pieces and Indigo dying. We each have to make at least three large quilts plus a lot of wall hangings and sales items.

My daughter has had a large extension built to her house and has asked for a large wall hanging for her living room.

I am trying to get on with the Spool/Reels quilt, as I would like it for myself. My sister and I are going to a 4-day retreat next month so hopefully I can get on with it there. I can’t take the Chinese Whisper quilt with me to get on with as nobody is allowed to see it.

And, then there is the other matter of a photograph arriving soon for me to start. I think I need more hours in the day.

I believe we signed you up for making a quilt for each of us, along with your challenge quilt.

Glad you're back!!

I like Maureen's original idea too. Like Nancy I would like to be able to mail it anytime. Hopefully, I will have plently of time to get it done before my segment of the time frame for "Whispers". I would like to hear more about Rosemary's myriorama maybe some of the rest of us could swap those. I haven't worked on anything that small but I would like to try it.

It all sounds like fun to me, too. If you want a vote, I would vote for Maureen's original idea, but allowing people to mail them whenever they want so they don't feel pressure if they don't have something ready when mailing their challenge quilt. Don't want anything holding up the challenge! But like I say, it all sounds good to me and I'll join in on anything.

Sleep tight Limbania! Well I am happy to do AAQI size quilts too so whatever suits everybody is okay by me. :D
Limbania, I am interested to know what the time is at your end :?: :?: Here in Scotland it is 09.40
Maureen, It's 1:39 AM in Arizona. Mountain time ( go figure, we are in the desert) and no daylight saving time. Usually is 7-8 ahead in Europe.
What on earth are you still doing up :?: :?: What time do you get up in the mornings :?: :?:
Catchin up on the things I didn't have a chance to do during the day. We get up at 7:30 AM, my kids start school at 8:45 AM.
I'm going to call it quits now. Good nite! I mean have a great day!

Alternatively we could make myriorama pictures, and swap those (& copies)CIMG6934.JPG each mini picture is 5" x3" and it doesn't matter which order you put them in, they still make a landscape, because the horizon lines all match up. you can also play with different techniques, the one on the far left is needle point, and the one in the background on the right is pulled work embroidery.

Sounds interesting Rosemary but I am afraid it is not for me. I really don’t like working on something that small. I have had a few operations on my hands so small doesn’t work for me. :( :(
