My deepest condolences to you and your family, Nancy. I can only imagine how hard this has been for you. Your mom probably felt very blessed that she was surrounded and loved by her children and you are doubly blessed for having been able to be there. I hope you take comfort in having been there for her. With a warm embrace, Renata

Hi all - I wanted to let you all know that my mom passed away yesterday. It was a difficult road, but was good that it went so quickly. She was in a lot of pain at times and it was difficult to see her suffer. But now her suffering is over. It's hard to believe that outwardly she was in perfect health just a few short months ago. Thank you for all of your thoughts along the way...
Nancy

Limbania she was a quilter
With chemo they tried hard to wilt her
But with needle and thread
(And a great baldy head!)
She cried "That won't knock me out of kilter!"

Lois, I have no idea right now whether I would be done really early... I'm pretty sure I'm the least experienced out of the group of ten so I probably could use the full allotted time. I am just a little surprised that things are moving remarkably well right now... but I could be eating my words in a few days...
Speaking too soon on things like this is easily done I've got my finger's crossed for you that you haven't - obviously you can't cross your fingers at the moment 'cos it would make it harder to sew
There once was a quilter called Renata
Who joined Chinese Whispers for the laughter
Starts with 'Whee this is fun'
Stops with her brain cells all spun
And tangled up, it was more than she bartered.
