Also, do you have the majority of reels yet, or are there still many on their way? (hint for numbers...?)
Yes we are now back up to full capacity - but there is nobody left on the waiting list, so nobody else is allowed to fall sick do-y'all-hear!

Numbers - out of 123 slots
I have 51 notifications of postage.
14 confirmed sightings (arrivals). But this is likely to change within a couple of days now Lorna - hopefully - is safely back and able to pick up her post (if she can get through our snow - it usually totally mucks up UK because we never expect it as routine winter weather and we don't get much practise with how to deal with it, because it usually disappears fairly quickly - within a week or so.

"Strawberry Shortcake" is on its way across the pond! I was able to do the initial postage and customs form on the computer, but it didn't like me trying to do a customs form with a US address for the receiver! I filled one in while I was waiting in line at the post office and off they went. I can't wait to see what comes back :D :D

Lorna is supposed to return from her Washington, DC trip Feb 6. I'm sure she'll be checking in with her reel count in a few days once she gets back on schedule. 8)

Thanks again to the sorting ladies! :D

I need to thank Rosemary for starting the wait list and it was my good fortune a space opened up. I'm so excited to be included in this fun project. I've been trying to catch up. I've made 10 so far and have all the strips starched and pressed. I hope to have my "Cherry Pies" in the mail to Lorna by the first part of next week. I noticed on the USPS website, they have custom forms you can fill out online. I'm enjoying all the blogging and especially seeing the variety of colors and fabrics. What an entertaining, talented group!!!!!! Sandra

Love the red Sandra! :)

Rosemay, the attic windows idea was actually my first thought for an alternative setting for the blocks. That's probably what I'll do. I would do 6 x 7, which would hold 41 reels and then have an empty spot just waiting for my next purchase!

I hope they take a while to come back to me, since I have so many projects to be finished! When they arrive I will want to drop everything and play with them. It's okay if they take their time.

Rita, I like the look of your first & last ideas, and the bird houses & birds are fun too.

Here is an idea - how about putting them in 'attic windows' sashing & pretend it is your thread box?
