Jane, your quilt is wonderful! This is such a small world! I just checked your profile to see where in Virginia you live and if you are in danger from high tides tonight from the hurricane. One of my oldest, I mean long-time, not OLD, friends lives in Waynesboro!

Well, I have a top. Long way from finished, but I'm pleased to have made it this far. Won't make it into the book(s), but I thought I would share my progress. I'll post again when it's quilted and bound. I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's quilts. Lots of inspiring talent in this group! :D Wish I could get to Houston this year, but that's not going to happen - planning now for next year.

Many of you know this already, that I've had a tough year. Wanted to do something positive for me.

I made a wall hanging quilt with some of the HSTs from the exchange and will be bringing it with me to the Houston Quilt Show for everyone to sign. If you see me and haven't sign it, get my attention. I will have the quilt on me and plenty of pens. My boys, hubby, family, friends and other quilt buddies will also be signing it too. I'll be wearing a tie dye, like usual. Clara

MAYBE someone ( who has made a quilt with HSTri ) can start a flicker page for posting pictures. I am involved in several groups that does that and it is really fun.

Well, it's not that active in terms of physical movement. I live in a split-level house, so I've kept my ironing board one level below my sewing room, so I have 7 steps to go up and down each time I have to press a seam. And I believe in pressing! That way, I hope to get my exercise, just not sure it's enough because unfortunately, somehow I am still getting puffier...(cuter way than saying 'fatter')

DH's is bike riding. Only he hasn't felt good enuf to indulge. DS's is video games. Pity they aren't messy hobbies. DD has her hands full with social life and academics. At least the quilt show is near my birthday so I have an excuse.
