Sherry and Teresa--love your hst projects. I just love all the different colours and how they come together in a unified quilt. Each adds something special--just like friends.

I have a question--I made the tree of life wallhanging with my hst from the exchange. Now I am ready to do the applique but I usually just do raw edge applique. Is this appropriate for the long stems on the sides of the wallhanging? Or will it pucker up th fabric too much (I usually finish with a machine satin stitch)? Do I need some kind of stabilizer on the back and if so what kind? Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, Margo. The quilting in the cream border doesn't show in the picture, but you were a huge help in my figuring out what to do there :D

Wow! I am so amazed at what all you ladies have done! Everyone of them is beautiful! I made mine into a simple table topper and did some stitching in the ditch to quilt it.

So I've been getting a few blocks done here and there. I need more teal ones and some setting triangles. I'm thinking it looked better in EQ7 but I'm committed and still thinking it will be done in a month or so. I'm just grabbing out of the pile and putting them where they land. I'm surprised at how few of the fabrics I've had in my stash.
