Just wanted to let you know that I won't be able to mail my HSTs until March 7th. But, I live in the states so it shouldn't take too long for Ritzy to receive them.

Now I am worried about my package. I did not use scotch tape. Yikes! I tried to explain the exchange to my hubby. He just does not get it! Oh well, I do not get his hobby either, listening to dogs chasing a cayote in a 100 a acre pen!

Have a great day everyone.

I just read on the Sisterhood thread about how Debbie is doing her organizing. I am doing mine the same way except I am using a database to keep my info. organized. I put in the date you let me know that you mailed your package and then I check everyday to see if any are long over due. Just received a package from England and it took 5 days to get here--not bad. My hope is the more organized I am now--the easier it will be later.

It is important that you tape the flap on your envelopes. I received one this week that was open--everything was in there but the glue didn't hold. I think possibly it was when the mail person shoved it in the mailbox she squeezed the air out and that opened the package when she shoved more in--I received 7 packages that day.

To date I have received 41 packages so I have a lot more to get yet.

Ritzy,

I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed your message about securely taping the envelopes and included that on our SoTTT's Forum today. I've had that happen several times and mentioned it before, but it's a good message to repeat. It mostly seems to happen when using the manila envelopes with a brad and 'lick to seal' flaps.

Thanks from your neighboring exchange   ...

I've finished my HSTs but am down with a respiratory infection and am not clear headed enough to package. Hopefully that will be done in the next few days. Anyway, I have a question regarding the Batik Tonga strips. I plan on using them in a quilt and have washed up some fat quarters I'm using but I'm not sure about these 2 inch strips. I always wash everything that will be used on a bed and this is a bed quilt. Do I wash or not?

Thanks

I am interested to see what others say--I would not wash them as I am afraid you would only have thread when it came out. Maybe someone out there has washed and has a way to do it that would not cause raveling.

I am still in bed with a cup of tea on the side and the laptop on my legs. I have to catch up on evrything that has happened around the world while I have been asleep, oh and every few hours during the day   Sometimes its an effort to put the laptop down and find some time to quilt lol.

Me too! I'm not in this exchange, but I'm in the Sottts and I just mailed my hst's yesterday. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa Claus to come! We still have over a month to wait. I can't wait to see what I get back!
