I've been a busy bee this weekend. I have to brag. Mom came over and this was her first quilting experience. We completed 1049 HSTs!!!. Included in there were my 137 for Batiks-R-Us and partials for the Sisterhood. Nice experience and I think my mom is definately interested. She's talking about shopping for fabric. Humm. Clara :D :D :D

Here is where we stand right now. I have received 67 packages; only two had any damage to the package and that was that they arrived open because they were not taped. Because everything was in a baggie--there was no problem. All the packages from overseas have been sent except one from Australia. I have received many wonderful gifts--thank you ladies. I have also received monetary gifts to help with expenses--thank you for that also.

If you have not yet sent your package--things to remember:
do not press the HSTs open--they arrive all wrinkled
tape the mailing envelope closed
don't forget to add a return mailing envelope
if you are in the States--put your mailing address as the return address
remember to put postage on your return envelope
only send 137 HSTs unless you want some to go to Queensland or Hanne-Grete

No, I will have to take them to the post office--I suppose if I caught her and handed her the bag with all of them, and they all had postage on them she would have to take them but I think she would put up a good fight and drive away quickly.

I knew it would happen and it did: we had enough big packages yesterday that the mail lady had to pull into the drive and beep her horn for us to go out to get the mail (I live in a rural area and they deliver the mail from their own SUV). When DH went out to get the mail she said, "she sure is buying a lot of stuff online". Then he had to explain that it was a quilting thing. We only had 7 packages yesterday--what is she going to do if we really get a lot in one day?

youuhoo! I finally mailed my envelope today to Ritzy and, according to Canada Post, it should be there by next Friday. In my case, she will have to get an American enveloped to mail to me and I am wondering what others from Canada did re mailing and paying etc.

Jeanine, if you still need to send Ritzy money for postage, send me an e-mail ( just click on the little envelope icon under my profile photo) and I'll tell you how to pay it through PayPal.

Hi Jeanine - I mailed mine from Montreal at the beginning of the week. I used a plain brown manila envelope because I thought if I used one that you can buy at Canada Post, with all their pretty maple leaves, it might confuse the postal people in the USA - a Canadian envelope with USA stamps all over it and the mail to and return address both the same - Canadian addresses! :? We're expecting rain by Saturday...
