I am realy good with this exchange. 23 is a good number. I will try to do as many as possible but am about to become a Grandmother on or about march 3. If you could set the final ground rules, I will happily follow them.

I would be interested in a strip exchange as well. Really want to do both of those quilts also. There are just to many quilts to make and not enough time to do them all.

Have you checked http://www.batiks.com (i think that's it). Have not checked recently but they have a ton on batiks.

I think you are right, it is hard to find a cream but you will undoubtedly get some with cream batiks, I have a few. I think in the all over view of a quilt, the thing one looks at is contrast.Especially scrapppy.

Well, a final decision has to be made at some point - batik and beige print, batik and light batik, or whatever. No batik is solid, so don't anticipate finding a flat beige batik. And actually, a flat beige would be booooorrrrrriiiiinnnnngggg! Some beiges are pinkish, some yellowish, and some greenish. So I'm thinkin' just two contrasting batiks - a darkish and a lightish (maybe even pale blue or lilac). My 2 cents. Waiting for the final verdict.
