Hey, Rosemary, it seems that most of our friends in the US find it difficult to work out where the 'East Midlands' are (hence my decision to say 'North-East'). Somebody suggested 'Heart of the UK' (also inaccurate). I guess I better revert back to 'Robin Hood Country' or consider 'North-East Nottinghamshire' and let everybody work out for themselves where that is. :)
Robin Hood Country works for me. Where legends were born!

It especially works with your profile picture. (which I like too)

Quickie reminder for anyone new to this triangle exchange. Page one of this forum has the guidelines, the current episode on the Quilt Show has wonderful sources of inspiration and excellent instructions. There are links on the side of the video to advance to exactly where you want to view. Below the video are links for supplies for the triangle papers and book. This one is open to batiks, prints, solids, hand dyed, but most importantly one light and one med/dark triangle.

Have fun and welcome.

Re: Postage -- it won't save you a lot of $, but you can get a discount on priority mail postage (including flat rate envelopes) if you print the postage/mailing label online. Go to USPS.com and follow the directions for "click and ship". All you'll need to know is how much your packet weighs.

Spent the morning at my favorite quilt shop and returned with fusible half-square guides (2"). Should have asked before I ironed it on BUT now I'm wondering if the fusible is acceptable for the exchange. Is it? The instructions say it stays on and is light enough that it won't be noticed in the final quilt.

Wendy, I'm not sure how fusible's will work for this particular exchange. I would hesitate to do it because it would be left in the triangles and could cause some size difference compared to the other triangles since there is another layer, even though it's light. According to Edyta, even using a heavier thread could case the size to be different than the other triangles. If everyone were using the fusibles, then it wouldn't be a problem at all. I really don't know if there's a 'yes' or 'no' answer.

If anyone else has had experience with these fusibles triangles being used with papers that are removed, please respond.

Thanks, Debbie
I agree. Can you save the fusible triangles and do some paper ones for the exchange then add the ones you get back to those fusibles.

Clara

Thanks for the timely advice. I'll save these and wait for the paper to arrive for the exchange HSTs.

I'm in. I'll be using the Triangulations CD to print out my HST papers, they are very accurate. Do we have to post how many sheets
we are sending? Do they all have to be the same fabric? Gosh, this is exciting!

PS I'll do a test sheet of the Triangulations just to make absolutely sure of the size
And I do have the Aurifil thread.

Just make sure it will be a 2" Finished size. As far as the HST being all the same fabric that is up to you. We were asking people to send in multiples of 28. (28, 56, 84 etc. No you don't have to post the number of sheets, because I won't be paying attention to that. I WILL PAY ATTENTION to what is in the envelope so that you get back the same number. Check out the guidelines in the beginning (page 1) before you get too far. That might help a little.
