I think the main issue with complaints is that this isn't the right place for them--if there's something you would like to see done differently, it's more productive to just click on Contact on the purple line above and let the folks who make changes know what's on your mind. They are very good about responding to us.

Roni -- I am with the others, please reconsider. Just ignore those others, I know it is hard to do. But there are quite a few - 30,000 who are darn great people. LOL I do hope you will reconsider. You can email me anytime to say anything you want and I am sure others will agree.

Kerri, nice to have you here. About 8 years ago, I began corresponding with an Australian quilter that had asked for pen pals on the WWQP. We've become good friends. Last Thursday, she and her DH came to visit, and we've had such a good time. They left after breakfast this morning to travel back to New York to fly home next week. I expect my ribs will be sore for a few more days from all the laughing that was going on here. Maggie and Keith live in Geelong, near Melbourne.

not leaving 09 Sep 2008 10:33 #25777

i just happened on this form and i read what every one said.
i love the quilt show, it is all i have here, where i live i am to far from the quilt guilds, i buy magazines to get ideas, or i come here. more times then not everyone is great. but i have to admit i sometimes hold back on my opinions.im afraid of what people might say so i keep it to my self.im still here and this is my 3rd series. its really too bad when people leave, but they have to decide for them self.

DON'T GIVE UP JUST YET 24 Jul 2008 07:22 #22761

Hello to you all. I've just been reading this subject and would like to say that I've only been ready this forum for a few weeks and am just starting out with quilting and applique and have found it a great source of information.
I enjoy every moment of it. Keep up the great work everyone.
Cheers, Kerri from Queensland Australia

Roni, first off I hope I have not said anything that has offended you. If I have please accept this heart felt apology. I would really hate to see you go. Second, any list you find is just like school - unfortunately there will be cliques and bullies  My advice to you is to do just like you tell your students - ignore the trouble makers and bullies - don't play their games. People like that generally are just trying to get attention. If they are really posing a problem then tell the powers that be and let them deal with it. Nobody should be made to feel unwanted for simply expressing an opinion. I am sure that what you have experienced is the exception, not the rule for most people here.

Roni, I've been on groups/forums before that I felt didn't suit my needs. I just took my name off the list and faded into the sunset. No fanfare, no lengthy goodbyes, just gone. Nobody needed to know I was leaving and they probably wouldn't have cared anyway.

Like some of the other members said, there are many quilting groups, so try some others and see it they work for you. Good luck in your quest for a new group.

I am not leaving here because of this site, I love this site, love Alex, Love Ricky,
I am leaving here because of the way that I have been treated by a select group of people.
Maybe I spend too much time with 5 year olds, but no one should be treated this way.
I am sorry that I criticized the rhapsody blog. I just felt that I was left hanging, that is all.
I don't think that justifies the way I have been treated by these people.
