I see that now TQS has information about this on the front page, so hopefully will get the word out.

Great endeavour. I have two pillows and a wall hanging (made by a friend of our daughter's) when she lived in Cairo in 2010. It is wonderful work and I hope the film helps spread the message.

We all marveled at the You-tube video of these amazing artists. We have seen their art 'in the fabric' at quilt shows and exhbitions. Now, producer Kim Beamish has launched a crowd funding campaign to fund a documentary. “The Tentmakers of Chareh El Khiamiah” will be a feature length film following a small street of Egyptian textile artists and how they have adapted to the consequences of the 25 January Revolution. For more information about Kim and the project go to http://pozible.com/tentmakers. I am a backer, and I hope you will be too. Thanks.
