Kate, if you will check the link I gave you for the show, they list all of the host hotels and contact info. There is a free shuttle to get you to the convention center from those hotels so it's just a matter of getting your reservation in! Good luck! You will love this trip!

Thanks to all who have written about the show in Houston.
Have to limit the travel to North America this time around.
To the gals who have been, any suggestions on where to stay..
Thanks again.
How fun this is..to ask real "quilters"
This is quite a forum.

Hi Kate, I live three hours from Paducah, so have gone to that show 13 times.....with the same friends....so it's become a real tradition with us. I love everything about it and also The National Quilt Museum is there. But last year, I went to the show in Houston for the first time. It was wonderful. I loved it being all in the same convention center and it's huge. It has preview on Wednesday evening and the show opens on Thursday morning and goes through Sunday. I would choose Houston if only going to one, and there's still plenty of time to plan for this years show. Hope to see you there.

The AQS Show is Paducah would be a wonderful destination, but apparently there is some confusion as to whether or not there will be a show next spring!!

Houston is the largest quilt show in the country, and definitely worth the trip.

Quilt shows that are unique 29 Jul 2009 11:22 #36999

:?:
My sister and I want to go to a "spectacular" quilt show. Within the continent..
An event that would take up an entire weekend and wishing that you could stay longer.
Does ANYONE out there have any suggestions.
We are willing to travel by air to get there.
Thank you
