Thanks, I'll check with Agway and the local Farmers Exchange. I don't know of any larger farm suppliers around here, but these are places to start asking. :D

Do you have farmer connections? We are farmers and my dh took a cleaned but used 2 gallon bucket to the chemical supply place. They filled it for him and said "thanks for doing business with us". :D And seriously, the amount they gave me was probably floor sweepings to them.

My dh pays pennies per TON for urea. Even if I did pay for it... whoa... cheap!!! :)

A farm chemical supply place. You may have to pay for it. They may not want to deal with a small user. But you can call and ask. Plus no shipping charge! (Urea is a great source of nitrogen/fertilizer for a farmer to apply as it is topical and the ground isn't worked to supply it. We are minimal-till to no-till farmers to save the soil and the help stop erosion.)

I've been busy this week dying fabric and having a blast doing it. But now I'm almost out of Urea and since I don't plan to do a lot more dying this year, but would like to finish off with a few more pieces I was wondering if there are any alternative sources for Urea other than mail order from ProChem or Dhammra? Their service is great, but I'm feeling a little cheap about spending the $ on the shipping for just a little more Urea. Are there any other businesses that might sell Urea? Maybe I can find a source locally?
Thanks,
Cindy
