Ow that's expensive. Horrible illness I hope they bring you relief. I hadn't seen the shorter renewal periods, just as gift certificates. If I get one when I renew in December I'll give it to you

Re: members who haven't renewed... If there was an announcement about a change in options for renewal I missed it. My renewal date was Nov. 11th. For the past two months I've had major medical expenses due to a complication with lupus - new and very expensive medications, one was $850.00! I wasn't concerned about renewing because I knew there were different options I.e. 3 months, 6 months, etc. When I clicked on renew there wasn't any option except renewal for the full year. Normally that's what I would do, of course. I live alone so my budget gets tight under the circumstances of the past two months. Depending on how the new medications work along with the IV infusions it may be January before I will be able to renew :-(

I emailed customer service and the reply was that only one year renewal was the option now. I've been a member since the very beginning. Back then I think it was called a charter member. I wonder if that has been a reason if some others chose not to renew.

I'll be renewing as soon as I'm sure that I won't have these high medication expenses - I sure wasn't expecting the medicine to cost as much as it did!

I like the new site. It just takes s little bit to get used to it and I think it will be easy to navigate and find things the more often we use it. I hope those who didn't renew will have a change of heart and come back.

Go to the bottom of the page in the Forum where it says Who Is Online and it will tell you what the colors mean. Site Administrator is red and Moderator is royal blue.

Since John's name is red too--i think that she might be part of the administration; in what capacity, I don't know.

Thank you for the update, Wendy. So sorry to hear that Limbania has had to go through more surgery. Good to hear Lotti will join us again soon. Re Margo; you could very well be correct - I feel sorry for her if she is; that would be more than a full time job with us lot hanging out here :P

Margo's a red member now. Perhaps she's the new moderator.

Lotti has been at a big event and on her way home. I do miss her posts.

Limbania had more surgery recently. I don't know any more but she's been.posting on FB since then and sounds upbeat. I do hope she's ok.

No, I haven't seen Lotti either.
Sadly I have a couple of friends who have decided not to renew their membership due to the change but they were never active in the forum so I know a lot of people are put off by the new web-site and forum but I doubt this is the case with these 3 members.
Glad you are OK with the topic

I have yet to see Margo and Limbania posting on the new site and actually didn't see them for a while before that. I have sent private messages to them before but cannot get the buttons to work now of course.
Does anybody know if they are all right? Maybe they are about on other media (I don't do Twitter and Facebook)? Just a bit worried about them that's all.
Because the new site is sooooooo frustrating at times I may very well have missed their appearances and if so sorry to have posted this.
