I avoid the blue and pink but have used soft yellows and pastel greens as an alternative for those moms who prefer the more traditional.... Jeanine

I follow Wendy Sheppard's blog...quilt designer for magazines using new fabrics and great machine quilter. She loves following the Queen and Royal Family.

She has a daughter, Miss Baby, who influences her quilt thinking a lot (my speculation). You might consider looking back through her blog archives for some lovely quilts that are feminine, but not necessarily "pink".

How exciting, Lorchen!!! My DSIL is also outnumbered, with 2 daughters and 2 sisters who between them have three daughters, one of whom (at age 18) is currently living with my DD and DSIL. But he manages, and I suspect your son will too. There's something about fathers and daughters

... My DD used pink and chocolate polka dots for DGD #1's birth announcement. That was a great combination! Hugs, Robin

This little one is officially due on the 20th of August. Eva was on time, so I'm hoping that this one will behave and not be early. Should she make an early appearance, I know where I will be - and it's not FoQ.

Chris says that he is going to be totally outnumbered: 1 wife, 2 daughters, and a female cat with attitude! :shock: :shock: And I have a great excuse to increase my stash of pink fabrics.
