I have gone through 9 bobbins so far (Aurora 440QE) working on my queen-sized quilt, and every time I had to cut the threads, I was a bit nervous about missing and cutting the backing. When I recently purchased a pair of those gripper gloves, which now make fluffing and stuffing so easy, I saw this pendant and on impulse decided to try it.
I love my new pendant thread cutter. I don't have it on a "neck rope" yet, but it is easy to grab and use. The flat, round "wheel" has recessed blades that can't cut your fingers or the fabric, so after using it for two sessions, I found I was able to just reach (blindly!) underneath and cut the threads without having to lift the whole works. It has speeded things up for me and is now in my "sewing computer's" toolbox.
 The only problem is that the cut threads do stick to the gripper gloves!
I haven't gotten around to putting up a piece of tape yet.
