I found a quilt with my name on it awhile back, printed it out thinking if I live long enough I might duplicate it but probably not. It's in the Wisconsin Decorative Arts Database, "Figured and fancy" coverlet made for Annis Clapp, Dutchess, New York, 1834. No relation of course because that's my married name but thought it was cool since I have an unusual name.
I think that's pretty cool too Annis. And it's a wonderful coverlet, I just had a look at it. It sits right at the heart of the industrial revolution and expresses those very values in its quotation. Thanks for sharing. Rita.
