Glad you enjoyed yourself, Jean. Also nice to hear that she is still doing this, it was very enjoyable for me. I will do it again and hope to get to the rest of the shops on her itinerary.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. i did go on the Quilt Tours of Las Vegas shop hop. It was amazing!!!!!! I highly recommend it. We hit 4 shops and I bought ALOT of stuff at 3 of the shops. The 4th was not my style but still great stuff.

Just to let you know, don't rely on GPS to guide you to the local quilt shops. My Dad lives there and since it's only a 3 hour drive, we go pretty often. The problem is, a good chunk of the quilt shops that GPS will take you too are actually out of business! DH and I spent a few hours touring the shops and only found 2 that were still open. In the end, I had to go deal with JoAnn's. Great at our home store in Palm Springs but true misery in Vegas! Good luck and have fun!

I was hoping for a full day, but I was the only one to request on that date and it was August and very hot, she got a flat tire on the way and we were only able to do three shops, she was very accommodating and pleasant. It was totally worth the $$$ for me, time on my own away from the casino...hope you enjoy Vegas and good luck!!

Thanks for the link. My DH says it looks good. Hopefully when we work out the itinerary I end up with a day to go.

Jean I know nothing about Las Vegas except that you should probably hit the quilt shops before you hit the casinos! I think that you will attract a lot of attention with those eyes and whiskers! Will you play the one armed bandits with your front or back paws?

My Mom used to live in Las Vegas, so when I visited her one time I dragged her to a quilt shop called Quiltique, on the way to Henderson. A very nice quilt shop! I found some great fabrics there. Their website is quiltique.com, their address is 213 N Stephanie St.

Now my Mom lives here with me and I don't have to drag her to quilt shops, she wants to go to them!

TQS screen name Jojojo lives in Las Vegas. I'm sure she can direct you to the better quilt shops. Just send her an email through her profile page. Her profile photo says it all!

Jean, I know TQS member Bobbi Huelsmann (whitewitchcrafts) lives near LV in Boulder City. It might be worth sending her an email or pm, she may be able to help you.

DH and I will be going to Los Vegas the first week of November! :D :D :D :D :D Very excited (can you tell?). Can anyone recommend quilt shop(s) that shouldn't be missed? Only staying for 4 days, so must be local.

Thanks
