That's just what I was going to say! And, Michael Miller has a gerbera daisy on a black backgound. You can Google it to see what web sites carry it.

Jill, try equilter.com and do a search for Gerber Daisy. I got 8 pages with 50 items each so maybe there is something you can use.

Hi,

I am in need of some help as I am looking for fabric with Gerbra's as the theme, I am positive that I have seen some fabric like this but now cannot find it (or it may just be my mind playing tricks on me). I dont mean the modern type of floral theme, it needs to be actual bright Gerbra flowers printed on the fabric. Does not matter what size flower or background colour just has to be Gerbra's. I have gone on line to the usual web sites with no luck and thought to see what the TQS family may know of.

Thanks for anyone who may be albe to help.

OMG that's the one, Dorothy!! :D I'm going to search my Simply Quilts recordings this weekend. There's so much you can do with this technique. I've already sewn some scrappy pieces together to make my "new piece of fabric". I want to do the cat but I'm also thinking that "folksie" heart shapes would make cute blocks. Could also use for bags and totes, kindle and book covers, animal shapes for kids quilts and the list goes on. It's really fun sewing all those scraps together and I feel so good using up every bit of my expensive fabrics. Makes this traditional quilter feel kinda artsie. Also going to search for Jan's book.

Thanks again. TQS is the best!

I've been wracking my brain to try to remember where I've seen this technique! Please post a note and let us know if it was TQS or HGTV!!

Shirley I think this is the Kitty you are talking about it from Jan Mullen's book Reverse Applique with no Brakes. I did a class with her some years ago and the quilt starry nights on my profile is done using this technique, I used up so many scraps it was great. Dorothy UK

Thanks Beth for reminding me about that. I'll check it out this weekend. While looking, though, I'll probably get lured into even more ideas for projects that I don't have time to do!! Ain't it fun? Can't believe Kathy even remembered the designer's name. Wish my memory functioned so well.

Ya'll have a great weekend!

Last I knew, HGTV's website still had SQ shows available for viewing. You could only see SEGMENTS, but that's probably all you need.
