You dog probably got a 'high' from that glue and was a very happy dog for a while.

Ha! No, haven't felt his tongue. He's not sick that I can tell. But it must have tasted good since he ingested a whole half of the sandpaper.

Okay - I gotta ask: Have you felt his tongue and is it really s.m.o.o.t.h? LOL Actually, my first thought was that he had used it as a back scratcher cause it felt so good.

We usually put our dog in his kennel for the night and when we are gone. He likes his 'house' and feels safe there. The other night as I called him and he trotted into his house as usual, I was distracted and forgot to go latch the door. No problem, as he's not destructive.

Got up the next morning and noticed my sandpaper board on the sofa.......I'd been tracing patterns for hand piecing Dear Jane and had just propped it up against the sofa back. But it was two colored! Hmmmm! I felt it and about 1/2 of the board was smooth as could be. I sniffed and felt and inspected all aspects of the board....no not urine. THANK GOD!! No sandpaper particles on the sofa seat that would have been left it had been rinsed off i.e. a liquid of some sort.

I went back to it several times and felt and sniffed and imagined............ :?: :?: :?:

About noon, DH and I realized that the dog had LICKED off the sandpaper.....probably attracted to the adhesive i.e. glue. It is about 30 years old....probably really made with old timey horse hooves glue!

Now whenever I use it, I have to laugh. Who would've thought?!   :?:
