TOPIC: Best ideas for studio I've seen.

03 Mar 2010 13:18 #44042

Don't let her fool you - I've seen Robin's space, and it's partly what has prompted me to re-do my own! Robin has a bathroom, and an office/loft that are to die for!

I am awed by the creativity exhibited in the organization of this space! Makes me want to incorporate all those clever ideas in my own sewing area. And everything was soooo neat! While I'm working on a project, my space looks totally disorganized, although when I finish a project up, I do take the time to make everything neat again. Of course, that lasts about 2 days.

Thanks for sharing! That has to be one of the nicest sewing rooms I've seen in a long time.

Dreaming I am, but there are some things that are doable in my very small space. But where are the works in progress, what's really behind those doors????? Ok, did the green monster come out? Happy quilting with what I have, Pat

Note that ALL of the wonderful features in this studio were HOME MADE by the artist! The only things she was rich in were ideas and talent!

What quilter would not want this room? Clearly, the person who owns this room has the financial resources to have whatever they want in a sewing room. However, there are some really great ideas here that we can borrow.

How can it possably stay that tidy and be fuctional!

There is no way you should ever start a project and not have a half an hour search for the right scissors, two days taking all the fabrics out trying to choose the right ones and then deciding you have not got the right shade and going out to buy more, leaving all the other stuff out and you most certainly never, ever have flat open spaces without at least five other projects started on them.

I protest, this room is a sham!

(Can she come and sort out mine do you think? I do like the little caddy thingy with the foam insert that holds the smaller scissors etc.)
