First, take a magnifying glass and inspect it. It could simply be that the little needle hook that grabs the thread may be off center so that it misses the needle eye. If so, simple to bend it back into position.

I'd say take it to the shop, part of the mechanics are probably messed up.

Bernina needle threader 15 Nov 2009 21:56 #40581

Through a freak accident, I popped the needle threader on my Bernina 440QE off. I was able to get it back on and it's very tight, but now it no longer threads the needle. Before I call my repair person I'd like to know if the threader is a part that you buy and install yourself or does it have to be taken to the shop.
