There's a guy in queensbury, NY who would be able to do that for you. The photo becomes part of the fabric. I heard about this guy from one of the presenters at guild about 2 years ago...he does great work.

Kay, if you google "Photos on fabric" you will get several products to use, but you might want to warn your sister that the photo quilt should not be laundered frequently. Maybe you could talk her into a photo wall hanging and make the quilt for the bed out of fabrics used around the photos?

I want to make a quilt for my sister out of some of her stunning photos from her recent trip to Alaska. She wants a queen-size quilt for her bed, so I expect it will be washed repeatedly. Does anyone know know how to reproduce photos on fabric that will withstand the test of time and washing?
