I sounds like Ike is the storm to watch out for, what is really bad is it will be by the USA on and around September 11.

We're expecting a rainy weekend and Flood watches are already out, but we've needed rain for so long I don't think anyone's too bothered (I'm just south of DC if you're watching the weather maps!)

But my MIL lives in Eastern NC so that's another story. She's been thru quite a few hurricanes & been ok, she's a "tough ol' broad". She might sit in her basement for hours while the wind is up, but soon as it's over she'll be outside cleaning the yard!

I live in FL, island N of Jacksonville. We are supposed to get some wind from the outer bands starting this afternoon. The rain has started already, mostly just drizzle right now. It looks like landfall may be upper GA, lower SC or NC according to the last report on the news. They are not really committing themselves yet. Sandi in FL

Is anyone in the path of Hanna? If you are, stay safe.

Judy in AZ (where it actually cooled down to 70 last night so I opened the windows but will close them shortly as the temps will climb into triple digits again today)
