It has the manual and since she let me bring it home to try out I have seen how hard it is to thread. Even when I understand it is a difficult process. They put those little tiny holes where it is nearly impossible to reach. It does have tweezers to help though.
My husband surprised me with a new sewing machine which was very sweet but not the one I wanted. they do have good intentions...

Make sure it comes with a manual, because you might have to pay at least $15-20 just for a manual. You'll need a manual if you are not experienced in using a serger. Also, make certain that it is not too difficult to thread. My dear hubby surprised me with a Kenmore serger years ago. I love it, but it is very difficult to thread when a thread breaks.
