We have a Babylock Sashiko machine at the shop where I work. I borrowed it and did a Log Cabin with it using variegated thread - looks great!
It is pricey, but the owner of my shop will rent it out if someone just wants to do one or two quilts with it. It is really fun to use

Yes, you are right - I've got a quilt shop here in the UK - but even so, it would take a heck of a lot of quilt tops to pay for one! Maybe they will come down in price eventually!

I've seen a Babylock sashiko machine, maybe it's the same one? It was amazing, but seemed like too much money for a limited use machine. If I were in business making items that could pay for it, using that machine would definitely save a lot of time. It was fascinating to watch it work. No one I know, has one.

I saw one of these machines being demonstrated at the weekend. Has anybody any experience of them? They look amazing, but aren't cheap! Thanks! :D
