6600 unenven stitches 21 Aug 2009 10:54 #37773

The default stitch length is 2.2. When piecing over seams, the machine stitches better at a stitch length of 2.5 or 2.6. I just change the stitch length to 2.6 when I begin piecing. No problems after that.

Check your foot pressure dial. It should be on around 3.

Janome 6600p - uneven stitches anyone? 27 Jun 2009 08:45 #36222

I have got the Janome 6600p, only had it a few months, and generally very pleased with it. However, this last week, when sewing on a miniature quilt I noticed that when it got to the seams, the stitches were smaller - this is in the piecing stage, using the dual feed foot - has anyone else any experience of this, or any tips? Thanks - 8)
