Because of the Mussolini seal, I'm going to guess that your Necchi was made in the 1930s. I don't know much about such new machines. I think there's a Yahoo Group for Necchi fans, though. I hope you will actually use your machine. I have 25 treadles and 15 hand crank sewing machines and use them pretty much exclusively for piecing and quilting. The quilt that I'm working on at the moment has needed 3 treadles so far--each of them does one task better than the other two, LOL.
there are tons of sites for Treadles. Above are a few. If those sites don't have the info you are looking for, maybe they have links to another with your brand machine.
Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum and I hope that someone out there can help me.
I have a Necchi Tredle sewing machine which bears the Mussolini seal that was purchased second hand by my grandmother in Italy around 1951.
When she emigrated to Australia in 1964 the machine came with her and I was taught to sew at such a young age that I had to sit on her lap and let her use the tredle because I couldn't reach.
The machine is now mine and eventhough it is priceless to me I am trying to find out an approx value and year of manufacture. I do have the serial number.
If anyone can help me find out the information I need or maybe point me in the direction where I could find out I would really appreciate it.
