I finally gave in and bought a copy from Amazon and this book is a great historical read. I encourage any of you who can do so, to get a look at it!

Does anyone own this book? Has anyone made this quilt?
I am curious about the genealogy aspect of it. :?: :?: :?: Does it tell a lot about their day to day lives?

My great great Grandmother was also an Elizabeth Patton who lived in Dandridge, Tennessee for a period of time. Maybe she was a relative... :D

Very interesting. All I need is another project to do but I bet the book is very interesting to read. And them being from Tennessee makes it even more interesting.

The book contains numerous photos and illustrations of battle scenes and everyday life of the time period.

As Scraps of Life moves you through the beautiful blocks and antique fabric galleries of Elizabeth’s Original Quilt Top, you catch glimpses of the joys of frontier life and the sorrows and hardships that followed the deaths of each of her husbands.

Not as complicated as DJ quilt, but lots of little tiny pieces!
